My grandfather (Walter Edgar Hamm) was head machinest for the Electric Boat Company in New London Conn just before WWII and was promoted to Lead Inspector during the war. Not a sub left there during the war without his signature on it. That old man forgot more than I'll ever learn in my lifetime! Both my two favorite uncles worked for Pratt and Whitney after the war in their tooling and R&D dept. This stuff is in my blood.........

According to the shop I use and trust, the shift forks are not even available, syncros either, some stuff might have to be jobbed out to a machine shop to re-produce, putting a rebuild WAY above $1,250.
I do NOT feel like sinking $600 more into a trans than it cost me to rebuild the engine WITH performance goodies.

I would check with Transmission Exchange first Dave. It couldn't hurt, and you just might be suprised. Those guys have found parts for me for 60 year old trannys. I would check there first.........Just saying.......
