Hams??? I'm going to finish running conduit to the box in the garage. Might get some outlets up also. Sunday, if the weather cooperates, I have a new mailbox to put up, and a new wood beam for my daughters swing set. That will be ready for paint. Oh, and I have to finish the railing on the back steps.
I rented my paint booth out for the weekend to a Ham radio club from Portland for $125. They have a yearly contest and want to broadcast from this mountain top.
I'll post some pics tonight of all their antennas. They have a rotating beam antenna on a portable 40' tower right in front of my shop, another 40' vertical antenna, and a 140' di-pole antenna also.
Their contest runs from 0600 to 2400 Sat.

Morning Marv! I'll take some of their set up also! Robin spent several hours yesterday trying to get me back into ham radio. I still have my license, but haven't used it since I got out of the Army in 1972. One of my jobs in Viet Nam, was running the MARS station at my base. I would radio stations in the States and help GI's get in touch with their families. Very rewarding.......
I declined........Much to much to do before I croak...............lol

I spent the entire morning running errands. Took my wife to work, daughter to school and then the chiropractor.
Yesterday my daughter & wife say "daughter's car is making a funny noise. It sounds like something is in the tire but maybe not. Will you take a ride to see if you can tell what it is?"
We didn't go more than 20 feet. Not only could I hear it but I could feel the bump in the passenger side front tire every time it went around. She had picked up a 1/4" diameter bolt.
Needless to say, I made a trip this morning to see "uncle Les" and got the tire repaired.
Picked up oil (probably can't say the name on the forum without getting spanked) for my daughters car, the big Ford (5 gallons), the generator on the camper and 2 stroke oil for my saws. Should be good to go for another year now.
Would live to see photos of the inside of the booth, too, with all the rigs set up.
Pop
Here are a couple pics of us putting the 40' rotating tower with beam up. After we got it locked, it got cranked up to 40'. The last pic is us putting yo the 46' vertical antenna. They aren't set up completely in the booth yet, so I'll take a couple more when they are running tomorrow...
