I hate driving through Bend/Redmond, Portland no thanks. This from a guy that used to drive on the Brookyn Queens Expressway, or should I say parking lot.
Glad you got your gimble back Don, now your really in trouble everyone will be coming after you for welding work. Didi you retire two years ago, ha.
Yeh, thanks. If this week is anything like last week, I'll need some valium and Lorazepam. Just have to get there, hang out for 3 to 4 hours and then come home in the rush hour traffic! In a perfect world we would be out of there by 4 in the afternoon, but so far, it's been 17 to 1730 before we got out of there.

I would rather drive in Seattle than Portland.........Those Portland drivers are NUTS!
We got the bed and front clip off this week. Next week he's coming up for a couple more days and tear the front-end apart, and we'll mount the box on the gimble.

Ok took a look at the gimble, saw the brake setup, how do you rotate it with something heavy on it?
When I built it, it was for building aluminum flatbeds, so no problem. I'm thinking of adding a gearbox and small geardrive 120v motor for turning heavy cabs, beds, etc.
Well I'm hoping my used manifold will show up sometime next week. Picked up some black engine paint, to take it back to original color. The PO installed a oil pressure gage and left the idiot light unhooked, thinking about getting another sensor and hooking it back up. Would like to have the red light as a visual warning "Hey idiot pull over and shut the truck off". Found another wire just dangling that have to check out as well. At one time they moved the battery from under the cab to the engine area, thinking about moving it back, just need to get the holddown.
