Late morning guys. Dang, it's been busy on here! Trying to break last years numbers eh? LOL
I agree, My Labs have better habits than some people!
Good luck Don, I'd be loaded and ready to go. Sometimes those people sneak around and stay in those places while people think they're vacant. I don't want to make you paranoid though!
Well, gonna get some lunch and start back on the shop. Slow, but steady progress. Can't believe just trying to make room for the boat turned into an epic shop project. Got a late start on the day, Wife and me had a movie marathon last night and slept in. Now I feel like doing nothing all day.
Planning on getting a 455 Buick for the Camaro. Should be able to move the car.
I had a '70 Buick Lasabre with the 455. Man that thing was a rocket. 5,500lb car and it would MOVE. It had a 2.71 rear end and would still spin the tires. 45 MPH in first and 85 MPH in second.
I scrapped the car but still have the engine and transmission. I've been thinking of doing something like you're talking about.
We have a regional landfill here that employs several hundred people, and a chemical waste site also, plus the local businesses, and the county seat. We actually don't have enough rentals here, and a list of people that are looking for a rental.
This is one of the reasons I'm trying to put together a group to buy this place. We have 8 rentals now, and another 8 homes that need to be remodeled up here at the radar base...
How far is the trip from the dump up to you? That's a pretty good commute isn't it? Last time I was in your neck of the woods was about 7 years ago though.
I was really bummed when I couldn't go to the get together last year. I DEFINITELY will get there this year.

I've been saving a built 455 olds that I got from a friend that owns a wrecking yard in Pendleton. It was in a 66 F-100 and killed the driver, and cost his passenger both legs. I too am waiting for just the right project.....

The waste sites are about 20 miles North of me, and you better show up!
