97 Explorer Charging problems - solution
Hi everyone, I have a 97 Explorer that would not start after three or four short distance stops around to grocery store etc. Thought the starter was gone, but it was new. The battery was 6 months old, so that was not the problem. I put a new ground cable from the battery to the starter bolt and have not had a problem since. The old cable was rusted enough to let only a trickle of power back into the battery, hope this helps anyone with this odd situation. Over 30 years of driving and never seen this problem!
