Rebuilt Steering Box and ......
I have a 2006 F250 2wd. Steering was getting pretty sloppy. I had a local diesel shop replace my steering box with a rebuilt box. When I picked up the truck the steering was nice and tight. While driving home I could hear a little rubbing noise(like metal on metal rubbing) as I went over a bump. Sounds like front left. Then as I exit freeway, its a big 270 degrees right turn exit, it feels like the power steering is gone and hard to turn. Not sure if brakes felt a little harder but they seemed a little harder or maybe I was just pressing harder so I wouldn't hit the gaurd rail. Then as I pulled into the driveway, 90 turn to the left, it also felt hard to steer.
Obviously I'll take it back but wanted to see if anyone had any idea.
