Yeah Jose & Aaron, unbelievable!! 101 pages and 23 thousand views, I had no idea of what I was starting. Great help from a lot of people.
Aaron, I didn't have to ground it, I just pluged it in and layed a rag there to help me adjust it and hold the float arm and it registered just fine on the gauge. It was really slow but would settle about where I had the float arm So it ohmed good and Nate's suggestion worked out good, saves me over $100. Tomorrow I should have my parts and put it back in.
I got my retainer ring, gasket and float today and put it in. Went and put five gallons in it and the gauge came up to almost 1/4. I didn't want to put to much in it incase I have to drop it again. I'll probably put another five in it and see if its 1/2, then just fill it up.
Everything seems to be working good now Richard. The tank read 1/4, 1/2 and now full. The gauge read good all the time on the rear tank so I think I'm good to go.
Awesome! glad the gauge is working. Almost makes me want to diagnose mine and try to make it reliable.
Glenn, the whole 101 pages and 32k views is awesome. Heck, you do what you doso you can pull the "house" around. Not to show off or any less than cool reasons.I for one would love to do what you accomplished in a short time frame "someday"...and that is only a dream for me I think sometimes..
Just keep up the good work!
Thanks Aaron, its guys like you that have inspired me. My wife and I are getting tired of this RVing stuff but first started out six years ago just to have a place to live in. My brother passed away and his house, being a bachelor, was horrible. My wife stepped into it and turned around and walked out. No motels for us so we got a 5er. We still go to Detroit and am taking care of some of his shi! This forum keeps me moving down the road, don't know what I would do without it.
If it weren't for FTE and some of the great friends I've made here, I would have a stock gas truck probably.... On that same note though, if it weren't for FTE, my gas truck would probably have a stock engine and would be running right now! Lol

ahhh running is overratted. Besides once you drive that 408 you wont look back. Someday I will tell you about the 418 that tried to kill me last year.
