Clay's IC boots came today, maybe tomorrow I can see what 'the old gray mare' will do. I'm also going to do the 'Travis IC leak test'. I moved the fuel tank but didn't install it and I moved the 5er tail gate to the mare. The UPS guy cracks me up, when he delivered the boots he asked me if I wanted a paper weigh? He knows I like 7.3's and he hands me a piston from his friends 02 that he blew up, LOL. He says that there are still law suits against Ford for the 6.0 that UPS bought.

I am surprised you didn't do the 38g rear tank....
Yep, those are the mule's airbag's. She isn't a old bag anymore, LOL. I'm going to put them on the mare, they are suppose to fit, I called Firestone and the dually and regular pickup call for the same bags.

I was wondering if you were gonna bag the Mare. With what you haul, you need them.
I'm throwing the idea of the 38gallon tank next year too Glenn. When I go to Pierre racing, I either have to carry a 5 gallon can or stop and fill up one tank before i can get home. It's just a little too far. We'll see, that would make the trip easier. Of course, I'd probably have to stop at the rest area then for a bathroom break on the way there anyway, too much coffee that time of the day!
I really like my aux 40 gallon tank, it fits perfect inbetween the tool box and hitch. At the pump, even a truck pump, I can turn it on full blast to fill. What i usually do is leave the rear tank full, run the front tank down to half and then flip the switch to fill up the front tank. When its full I turn off the pump and let it go down to half again. Then I'll turn it on and when its full again my tank is almost empty. Its a small pump and will fill just a little faster then I can use it. Then when the front tank is empty I start using the rear tank and look for a filling station. I can go over 600 miles between fillups but the fill up is going to be over $200, ouch. A 38 gallon tank would be nice though.

I went almost 900 miles on my last long trip without a fillup....
I believe Jim's writeup still had the spare under the 38 gallon rear.
I just hung a little low, but if your truck is a highway hauler then it shouldnt be a problem.
