Hey Guys,
Sorry if this has been asked before, I did a search but did not find what I was looking for.
I have a 2009 F-150 and I just purchased an 8GB USB drive to plug into my USB port in my dash. It is formatted to FAT 32 but Sync keeps saying it is not recognized. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Does it display "Line In" or is it just not reading it at all? I get the Line In pretty frequently with my iPod. I have to push the Synch speak button on the steering wheel and say, "USB" to get it to look at the USB port and communicate with iPod.
Personally, I think the voice activated system sucks pretty bad. It can understand a few of the core commands but hardly ever works right for dialing phone or searching music. I end up dialing the phone myself anyway.
Hello QwkTrip, I tried pushing the Sync button and saying USB but it still days it does not recognize the USB. It says "Initializing" first then it says it does not recognize.
Jus2shy the USB only has one partition as far as I can tell.
What is weird is my wife's Escape's after market stereo plays it just fine. And the one that her cousin left in her car plays just fine in my Truck. Based on that I would say it is the USB drive but I don't know how to fix it.
is there software on it for the thumb drive? I had to format the thumb drive completely a couple times to get the mini partition to go away and the software off it!
