I have a 1990 F250 HD (with 460cid) and it stalls in Park and sometimes even in gear. The RPMs drop, the engine dies. Happens every day, whether it is cold or not.
I changed the fuel filter, the problem is still there.
Could it be some kind of a sensor, like TPS? What could typically cause this?

There could be a few different cause for this- how long has the truck done this, and when was the last tune-up? Has the truck had any major work done to it lately?
The rest hasn't been done in a while. I plan to replace the spark plugs and plug wires really soon. Possibly the distributor cap too if it hasn't been done in a while.
PS: It idles at 600 rpms and usually that's not a problem.

The short answer is: get the CD. It's cheap and easy to find - just search eBay or the CLASSIFIEDS for "Ford Service CD".
