I'm having a heck of a time trying to find a 7 pin rv female plug that plugs straight into the 2 square factory plugs on the bam of my truck. Anyone using one of these or know where to get one. Called a trailer place and he was all confused???!!! Weird
What you're looking for is the Ford factory towing harness. It's a tough one to find. I'm no help, but I will give your thread a bump and wish you good luck!
Cool thanks. I've found them for a 2011 but none for the obs. I think there are 3 square factory plugs on the truck. One of them is hooked up to my 6 pin round. They other two have the trailer brakes the what not.
Pretty expensive, may want to scour the junk yards to see if you can score one. I plan to put a 7 wire connector on my truck but I am just going to hard wire in because corrosion has rotted a couple of the pins on the truck side of the harness, and I'm not paying $100++ for a factory plug in one.
I was hoping the samething. Went to some local truck accesory places and no luck. then when I saw how corroded the pins were and one pulled out, that pretty much was the end of the dream.
I will take some pics and so a little write up for ya'll. it might take a while since I'm working 10-12 hrs a day and working 18 days straight then getting 3 off but I should be able to get it done. Should be able to do it in a couple weeks.
I may have a spare floating around... I'll have to check when I get home tonight. I believe someone spliced into the wires to install another 7 pin in the bed but it worked fine when pulled.
