My truck has the towing package, I am looking for an adapter to go to (7) pin circular plug from the factory plugs. It looks like in the rear of the truck there are 2 plugs, a (4) and a (3) pin. Do they make such a harness adapter anybody know of?
Thanks
I checked with NAPA, they ordered what they thought was right - but it was wrong.
Do you happen to remember the part #?
I know I could splice it in but there HAS to be a connector availabe for this truck, I just can't seem to find one.
I can't believe I can't find a plug and play trailer 7 pin adapter for this truck. I checked everywhere. It's not that splicing it in is a big deal, but I figured there would HAVE to be an adapter for this truck.
I checked that site. Good site - thanks for the reference but I had no luck there either.
I'm on a mission now, there must be a connector for my truck. Theres probably thousands out there like it.
ARe you wanting to put on a 7 plug harness? And you truck has the 4 flat plus the 3 extra wires? Or do you have the 7 plug already on the truck and looking for an adaptor from the truck out?
Go back to that site and go to the Lite mate section --vehicle to trailer wiring for the do it yourselfer. Go into search. For the part number type in 47185 and enter. This is as close to a plug and play as ypou are going to get. If this is what you are looking for. I work for a part house in Cincy, Hoppy is at the top of the line when it comes to wiring connections. The only true plug in plays are for the 4 wire harnesses.
I do have the 4 pin round and the 3 pin round hanging out the back of my truck. I have a 4 round to 4 flat adapter I've been using, but now I need a 7 pin,,, so I was hoping there was an adapter than connects with the 3 and 4 pin factory round plugs and converts that to a 7 pin round.
I guess there isn't? I'll' take your word since you work in the business.
Thanks for the input. I'll be ordering that part number you spec'd with the 4 and 7 pin mounts. I've never seen one of those before either.
Thanks again
I have the 7 pin round conectior on the back of my truck but it doesnt have battery charge or accesory hooked up. How do i go about hooking that up correctly?
