What sux is there are a lot of guys that I know that drive these trucks for a living, and aren't versed at all with them. Most of them go broke also. I have seen lots of guys come out here and liquidate every asset they have and then,,,, I never see them again.
im sure at leat once we had a different opinion... i just dont recall it.
real time for me to do a set of sticks and coolers is a full 10-12 hour day. ive done hundreds of these too.
but real time and labor time are not the same either
I think it was over pulling the cab vs not for head gasket work - lol!
14 hours labor for egr cooler/oil cooler and flush
6 hours labor (3 perside)injectors
2 hours diag.
thats 22 hours before we get in to parts.
Its an additional 3 hours to change an injector even after everything is already torn down? I'm not saying that's bad or anything cause I've never done it, I'm just wondering.

Remember that's flat-rate or "Book" time.
Like Cheezit said... Book time is roughly 22 hours, but a competent mechanic could knock that out in 10-12 and pocket the rest.
warranty time for both sides injectors.........3.6 hours
thats not exactly correct. thats just the r/i time, none of the other bs we have to deal with. iirc with all the stuff involved it is 8-9 hours per the pinpoint test.

And let's not forget the prior approval process required for injectors too.
