Hi guys, first post here on the forum. i have a 77' regular cab and i am having a hard time finding a part, or at least the name of the part. The problem is that the ignition switch just turns in the hole in the dash. The chrome trim ring that screws on the end is there but when you tighten it down you can still spin the switch and pull it in and out. Is there supposed to be some kind of spacer/retainer right behind the dash that the switch tightens down on? There is a empty hole there where it looks like something could thread in on the bottom of the dash. Its kinda hard to describe what I am talking about so hopefully someone can chime in with the proper name. Thanks in advance, This is a great forum!
