Install ignition switch nightmare
A freind who is a mechanic and I have tried unsucessfully to install the ignition switch in my 56. I purchased the bezel and ignition switch fro Sacramento Vintage Ford. It appears the same style in other catalogs. How in the world is the core or switch held to the bezel? How is it held to the dash? I know he feels like a dummy but we had no luck.

do you have the retaining piece that goes on the switch? you put that on the switch put it behind the dash. you have to push hard because its spring loaded. once its pushed out far enough you put the bezel on.
