So the other night I am driving home and I decide to push the high beam switch on the floor. When I do, both head lights go out. There is also no "blue" indicator light on in the dash. Where do I start looking to fix this? Thanks.
No relay or fuse. There is an internal circuit breaker inside the headlight switch. If BOTH go out when you press the switch, then there could be a short in the high-beam circuit (tripping the breaker) or the floor switch is bad. If the headlight switch isn't clicking and the lights do not cycle, then it's likely a bad floor switch.
Ckecked the switch today. Both the low beam wires had power (plus the center supply wire) push the switch and no power to the other pair, high beam wires. So looks like the switch is bad.
when that happens its almost always the switch. I changed out 1/2 dozen of them. Sometimes you can just clean up switch but they are cheap get a new one..
