Installed the 10.5 LS
and I haven't added any oil or additive yet. I've read by searching here to start out with no additive and go from there.
If I have to add additive, when do I stop ? I have zero experience with the 10.5 LS.
BTW, a dead skunk smells better than the "green stuff". The skunk odor goes away !

If you added new clutches, you are supposed to soak them in friction modifyer.
As for how much you are supposed to add, I dont recall.
I usually just add till it slips as much as I want it too.

I soaked the clutches and plates. Instructions say add 8 oz. after a rebuild.

how much you supposed to put in if you didn't just rebuild... just a drain and fill?
I have a 373 LS axle from an 09 that I will change the oil on before/after I swap it in...

Sterling 10.25 spec is 7.5 PINTS. I couldn't fill it more than 6.5 PINTS plus the 4oz. of additive after installing the 10.5 carrier, it just ran out the fill hole.
