Here's my predicament. I built a 302 from block up (everything in my sig) and when i went to fire it up it wasn't sounding right..metal on metal and knocking...generally hellish sounds.
here's my question. there's almost undoubtedly block damage and/or lower end damage. should i find a 351 with pistons/crank and transfer my hi-po parts over from my old block, OR should i bore out the 302 i have and stroke it to a 331? the price is about the same, the work is about the same...im just wondering what yields the most efficient street performance.
