the dictonary definition
MOTOR: 1) something that produces or imparts motion
2) a device that converts any other energy into mechanical energy esp. an internal combustion engine or device that converts electric current into mechanical power.
engine: a machine that converts energy into mechanical force or motion.

People say I'm going out to the "car" all the time, and then get into an F250.
People say I'll bring my "truck", and they show up in a Honda CRV.
It's called a misnomer.

Motor or Engine?
I stated my thoughts on this, but I'm always open to the thoughts & ideas of others. I may have to rethink my theory based on some of the posts here. I would just like to commend everyone on keeping this as a DISCUSSION rather than an ARGUMENT, as sometimes happens on this forum. Just out of curiousity, V10KLZZ71S, you said you had your own theory on this. What is your theory?
