How to identify engine
I have just purchased a 1967 Ford F100 that has had the engine swapped out.
I am new to Fords. Can someone tell me how to identify what engine I have??
Thanks
John

Welcome to FTE.
V8? Read on:
Ford V8 Engine Identification - FORDification.com
Once you id it, IF it is an FE motor, or a 351m/400, there is no real easy way to id them externally.
6? 240 or 300. You will have to measure stroke.
Once you get to this point, open a new thread in the forum for that engine series. Find some casting numbers and post 'em up.
I think on 6s and FE motors you can measure stroke through the plug hole with a wire.
