CODE P2286 - Injector Control Pressure Sensor Circuit High
CODE P2287 - Injector Control Pressure Sensor Circuit Intermittent
Second time these codes have come up.
First time was a month before I bought the truck and the dealer cleared them and it didn't come back (Have the service record stating such)
Bought the truck and have driven it +/- 400 km's so far and the codes reapeared.
2007 F-350 XL 4x4 Diesel (6L) with 158000 KM's on it. (according to build date its a mid-ish 2006 build)
I'm assuming its the ICP sensor/pig tail starting to go, any advice on the eaisiest way to change the 2 parts out (going to do one, might as well do both). If its not the ICP sensor, etc then what could it be?
It is 99% the harness and/or sensor. Do them both like you said. They are easy and straight forward. Just unplug, unscrew and reverse. Three wires and fixed...
Well, thanks to Canada being **** backwards the prices for just the ICP sensor are extremely high ($211-290) and no one seems to know the part number for the pig tail.
Any recommendations of a retailer that ships (who is also cheap?)
Hmm, just need to order one from any dealer that will ship to canada. As the package will be under $200 I would get to skip on Duty charges, which would make things a lot cheaper too.
4C3Z 9F838 A / 1845428C92-------------------------------------ICP SENSOR (2005/2006/2007)* 5C3Z 12224 A /-------------------------------------------------ICP/EBP Pigtail
Didnt see a Pigtail # For international
Also keep in mind most the Time this is a ICP Sensor and or Pigtail Issue but could also be a wire chaffe somewhere in the Harness from Said sensor to PCM by Driverside Battery
Wondering the same thing. Did this issue ever get solved? I own a 2004 f-350 with a 6.0 03 version not the 04 version. 182k miles. I had the P2285 code reading “injector control pressure sensor circuit low” and it would occasionally revv up on its own and or have a rough idle sometimes, replaced the ICP sensor woth aftermarket one (maybe that was my mistake) and now it wont restart when its hot. Cleaned the pigtail and the actual connection in the sensor itself, took it for a test drive, while on the drive the CEL comes back on with code P2286 “injector control pressure sensor circuit high” never had this code before always been the circuit low not high. But still running good so 30 minutes of driving later i come home, turn it off, immediately try to restart it, it starts up with a little hesitation and stalls 20 seconds later. Then wont restart. Seems like its cutting my fuel. Some have said maybe the HPOP but if it had low oil pressure id hear unusual knocking and i dont. So i think maybe the sensor i just bought is bad? Any other ideas? Put a sensor on from the dealer maybe?
