On talking to a few happy customers of alcorn automotive, I've decided to have them build me a box. I can't wait to have one from usa as it would be well after Christmas before I had it and I need my truck from now on and over summer. Going to put a manual transfer case in at same time as we can't get our heads around wiring the electronic one considering this was a 2wd truck. I've spent a shtiload on the factory looms and switches and it still won't work so bugger it.
I've done about 1000 Kay's with new box, it's great, by far best gearbox I've driven with in a truck. Not quite game to smoke the tyres yet but loaded it up a few times with the tuner in performance and locks up good and shifts awesome.
Get the tray sandblasted tomorrow and painted early next week.
Yes bit unfair for the speed camera's,its all about safety not revenue...
Damn right
Don't forget the mobile and static automatic plate readers, another great "assistance to state gov revenues". Nothing like a computer doing the job of trained law enforcement officers.
Just to match the line of the cab and look better in general.[/QUOTE]
That bricknose that was your old truck is the best I've ever seen. I love that whole set up. I doubt you'd still remember but what was it running for wheels and was it lifted? Where'd you find those headlights? The biggest thing I've been trying to figure out is if that flat bed is something someone made or was it something produced by a company? If so i don't suppose you remember the model of it? I can't get enough of that truck!
Hey Mate, how is the Auto Trans going on your truck? have you had any issues etc? I'm interested in this trans as an option when/if my 4r100 dies in the pants. Also - how did they compare price wise?
cheers.
