Something wrong with my Ftruck aswell,went too start it at work too go home,ded batteries jump start,heading home trans starts too slip OD light is flashing and I notice amp gauge is down to 9 volts, almost home lights are getting dull
Put amp meter on alt,its putting out 8.7 volts even my spare battery is down to 5 volts..

Hi Bryan, if you haven't already, try turning everything on, lights, hi-beam, hazards, etc, and then see if the alternator still holds 13v with a full electrical load happening.

I just got it off aussie eBay. I bought 2, first one was around $100. Next one was $140 including post if I remember correct
Guy up here in QLD rebuilds them CHEAP!! He only quoted me a staging $12,150. Naturally I jumped at that bargain price, NOT!!!!
Yeah they are a bit ridiculous. Plus they don't really know what they are doing! Mate of my brothers has busted his twice in 300kms done by a local guy!!!!

Your best bet would be to get it rebuilt in the states, be cheaper (and bulletproof). Not sure how you would handle swapping cores etc. I think Brian got a built tranny done, perhaps ask him?
