For the record, Rev-X and Archoil have better reputations than HSS for resolving Stiction issues - at least on most 6.0L forums.
I have realized that. I will be adding revX when I do my oil change. I might not add the revX untill after my oil change to see if it actually stopped the problem. It seems like once you start adding revx you just need to keep adding it at every oil change.
well it has bee over 500 miles since adding the HHS and this morning it was 40 degrees. I almost didn't notice any stiction at all. It is so much better!
Thanks, I have not really noticed any rattling, but the truck has been getting consistently better each morning. This morning I really didn't notice anything, but it was only in the 60s. I think it is supposed to get colder tonight, so well see how it does. I added the HHS to the oil with out changing it so it will be out of the motor in 1500 miles from the time I put it in.
What injector cleaner would you recommend for the fuel bowl. Diesel Kleen?
To be completely honest with you, I. Don't remember which brand I. Used. But I would not hesitate to use Diesel Kleenex myself. I'm happy to learn your Issue seams to be going away
Here is another update: It has been about 800 mile since adding the HHS and the symptoms have really gone away, enough that a non diesel person may not even notice the problem. I still have to do the bubble test and put injector cleaner in the fuel bowl, which i hope will clean everything up!
I just saw this and having the same issues now that the mornings are getting colder. Can someone post a link to the bubble test? What is that?
Hey sorry i missed your post did you figure out the bubble test/get your truck figured out?
AS AN UPDATE TO MY PROBLEM: Everything seems to be back to normal. After adding the HHS to the oil, my next oil change I added revX, once it was time for me to change that oil I just ran my synthetic oil with no additives and have not have any problems for 5000 miles. I am now about to change my oil and will again not be putting in any additional additives.
