I have been noticing that my truck (108000 miles) has been missing and running rough (somtimes even surging) untill the engine warms up (eot above 160) Any idea on what could be causing this?
FICM readings are all good, batteries are new. This will happen when i start the truck in the morning and its in the 40s or if I park it for an hour and it just cooled off a little.
If the truck runs rough when cold but gets betters or even clears up completely once it's up to full operating temperatures I would suspect an injector issue. Unfortunately, this is quite common with the 6.0L platform, it could be a problem with just one injector or multiple units...
Make sure your oil is changed at the proper intervals and that you are using Motorcraft oil filters. Some people have found that a 5W40 oil and RevX or Archoil has helped injector stiction issues.

oils is changed every 5000 miles with 5w40 with valvoilne I also have a bypass oil filter and use motorcraft oil filter
The Orings will leak fuel untill truck warms up and things expand and seal
I will definatly check into this I have not noticed the oil level rising but i really dont pay attention to it rising either, i just make sure its not low
So is there any way to tell which injectors are being problematic? Once I am done work I will check the oil to see if the level has risen or if it smells like diesel.
I checked the oil and didnt smell any real strong diesel scent, I then checked the oil level and it seemed like it might be a little high. I do have almost 4000 miles on this oil.
