There is this apparatus that looks like a vacuum pump on the passenger side fender well that has a bunch of vacuum hoses running to it . It runs as soon as I turn on the truck. It didn't do this before. Do I have to replace the pump or is there some kind of fix?
May as well do other things to fix the truck since I'm waiting to get my FICM back from ficmrepair .com. Can hardly wait to get it back to see how much better the truck will run.
It seems to run all the time making a kind of a loud hum. It is a two wheel drive truck. Now that I think about it, it has been doing it since I had the grill replaced at the body shop and fixed the A/C. I hit a big dog and it toke out the condenser and trans cooler.
Remove the line form the tank and plug it.
Does it turn off now? If not the control is
bad and I don't know if you can just replace that
of it is the pump. If it stops then time to look for the leak.
