Alrighty, I will give it a go when I get off work today. Def nervous about this procedure now, lol.
Easy job bud. Just takes a few muscles, some intense "hose-wiggling", a few choice cuss words and maybe a scraped knuckle or 2 when the tube finally comes off. Honestly, it can be done in less the 30 minutes if you know how to take the air intake assembly out.
If you are referring to the black plastic cold side CAC tube connection to the intake "elbow" on top of the intake, do yourself a big favour and remove the four 8mm bolts securing the "elbow" to the intake and remove it with the tube. Because if you attempt to separate the two, you will have one hell of a time trying to re-connect the two. The lower part of the tube separates relatively easily from the CAC with some wiggling and pulling the tube outward.
There's your answer right there Gene ----^^^ if it took a gasket to put it back together he probably would have posted the part number. There's just an o-ring in a groove on the elbow. Comes apart clean, just wipe off the intake with a clean rag and bolt it back up when you're finished. If your determined to wrestle the tube off the elbow, warm it up with your wife's blow dryer, just a little heat makes a big difference you don't want to melt it.
Thanks to everyone...my patience was getting mighty short, so I took it up to my diesel mechanic...who took out the air filter assembly, CAC tube, degas bottle and changed the hose all in about 20 mins....smh, I tell you what I wouldn't give to have those skills, lol
