Reconnecting egr...

Hey folks. I have 06 F250 6.0. I unplugged my EGR about a year and a half ago, it turned the CEL on and that was fine with me but now I'm planning on selling the truck and was going to plug the egr back in but didn't know, since its been unplugged is it gonna send a bunch of junk into the engine? Has anybody else plugged theirs back in after an extended period of time and any ill effects?

Thanks all

Hmm. My thoughts would be that after that long of a period of time that the whole cooler would be filled with soot, probably blocking flow through the valve if its bad enough. I've often thought this too before I deleted mine.

I was going to delete it but I straight up can't afford the truck anymore let alone mod it. I just put a FICM in it over the weekend and that was the last straw. Don't get me wrong, I love my truck but she's sucking me dry and I gotta let her go. Thinking about running around in my 75 F100 for a while and banking my checks for a change...

Pull the valve and have a look up the line so to speak.
All this time with out the cooling fan running.
