We've had very little rain here....just enough to show the dirt on the truck.
same here Steve. im in the San Fernando valley, and it was enough to make the truck dirtier. also it only rained enough here to make the top 1/2" of dirt damp and sticky to clothes.
one day ill have a home and 50 acres with a shop...
Yeah, lol, she said the 'scurge was kinda fun to drive around town. She gets no respect in a Honda, but in the beast, people make way or aren't as apt to cut ya off. Plus my DRL's are kinda bright.
The drone from the right rear will get to ya after a while.
Good luck Steve. I've been sitting in the recliner all day alternating ice on my face from getting all 4 wisdom teeth pulled today. Thank the lord for Vicodin. Been keep up on my meds and the ice and so far, very little discomfort. Just a major pain in the butt to eat or drink anything.
Hey Guys
Been a while since last post. Lots going on.
Just got back from Wyoming. Hunted the same place as last year because we got cut short due to my brothers horse accident ( if you don't remember, he got thrown onto a stump and broke his collar bone ). It's a real tough area so I thought I would go back this year and push myself.
The locals are certain that the wolf population has decimated the elk herd. The only elk we saw were very high as it had not snowed enough yet to drive them down lower. Getting up to them was a bitch and we were busted every time.
I saw lots of deer last year so I got a tag for this year and nailed a real nice buck.
Great trip. Beat the hell out of myself.
As a reward I stopped by the Shiloh Sharps factory on the way back and ordered the rifle of my dreams. Woohoo
A little "Christmas shopping" for yourself never hurts!
Congratulations on your reward for pushing yourself! Lookin' "mighty purty", there!
We just got in last evening from a couple of days in Yosemite Valley. Enough moisture to keep down the dust, no bear activity at night allowed us to get some good sleep, and very-few kids making noise during the day. All-in-all, a very peaceful get-away with two other couples. Everything is spectacularly beautiful this time of year, and nothing's crowded. It didn't last long enough, but I think it's the best trip I've ever had going there.
Agreed on this time of year in the parks
We came back through Yellowstone. It had been snowing for a day, then stopped the day we went through. The report said snow for another week straight so we got through at the perfect time. Nobody there. Beautiful.
As for the xmas present, it'll be next xmas. 14 month lead time on it.
The Halloween madness has begun in IV today. Theres something like 6 road blocks set up on various streets (one right outside my house) and there should be officers from something like 5 different police organizations here for the next week. Halloween in IV turns in to a week long drunken party with 20000 students plus who knows how many out of towners. Needless to say this weekend and next plus actual Halloween will be chaotic up here.
Im heading down to Ventura tonight to pick up my truck from the body shop. There were some issues with the work done when they shaved the drip rails so that was fixed this week and I can pick it up tomorrow morning.
