I'd like to put the master cylinder, booster, pedal, etc from my 77 into my 73. I could use them for cores and buy new but I was wondering if there is a way to check the booster to see if it's good or not. Also, If I use it for a core, how do I know what to get? I can't seem to find any numbers on either the booster or MC. the only thing I notice is the lines come out of the other side of MC than the old manual one. Not even sure if it was original in the 77.
You probably could hook a mighty vac up to the hose to see if it leaks. You should save the serial number from the truck that you got the brake parts from. When ever I order a booster they always need to know that.
I do have the door tag off of the truck it came out of, but what I'm saying is I don't know if it original or not. Would here be numbers on the booster or master cylinder that I could go off of for a cross reference for new ones?
