I thinking about holding 2013 at my place so the Canadian and upper midwestenerns could attend but if you guys want to hold one that's fine. Maybe I'd try to make it with the panel this time. I have the mountain part handled after 421.

Why not have the best of both worlds? We could have regional meetings in all areas every year, then maybe a national meeting every 4th year...
After all, don't we need MORE excuses to get together in person?!

Only remember,Ford truck owners drive their trucks, not trailering them like C***y owners and - dare I say it - Hardly Able,Son owners!LOL

I'm on it!
LOL! Slow down Tiger,Baby steps First.Good idea having a local get together here, as a start, methinks.I would never travel far to sweat while camping.Nice and cool under these tall trees, even in the warmest months.
Not sure if I trust my 52 to make it over the summit on highway 17. I'm afraid that neither the engine, nor the brakes, or both, may not be able to handle the climb and descend. However, I'm just a sissy when it comes to driving the Panel anywhere on land where it's not flat.

Now you've got a winter project to work on.
Yeah, probably a bit too ambitious, but hey, it sure sounds exciting, eh?

You don't know mountain driving until you experience the 30 minute drive up and the 30 minute drive down over Pine Mountain KY in a F-2 with a stock drive train. After that I think I can handle anything. Those were the scariest minutes I've spent driving in my life. On the way down I had the choice of either driving into the moutain side or going over the with at least a 300 foot drop. When we finally made it to the bottom I pulled to the side and just stood there looking at the F-2 for about 15 minutes, saying absolutely nothing.

I'd have put on TWO pairs of Depends.... if I could only remember where I left them.
FWIW, Ross and I were behind Bob in my F-350. I am used to driving these type roads, learned at a very early age. BTW, I came most of the way down in and out of third gear enjoying every minute of it. BTW, Bob did very well. Any descent where you open the door and walk away is a good descent, even if the seat may need cleaning. I never did ask Mrs Bob what she thought of that segment of the trip.

I should have strapped a few old tires on my back bumper and you could have given me a little help up the mountain on the cruise but I was all alone on 421 and it was a lot worse than the big wide curvey road we drove on the cruise. Well, I wasn't completely a lone on 421, my wife was experiencing it right along side me.
I'm having my own mini-Truckstock over at my house this weekend. First, Jolly Roger Joe came for a visit on Friday and this morning Mike, "badger_hound", stopped by to pick up some parts. I'm ipressed with his 3 year old son's vocabulary. He knows what a gauge is as he pointed to one in my truck. Great job, Mike!
