throttle prolems

throttle prolems
I just spoke with my BIL and he was told that he needs a new throttle controller (pedal) assembly! Said the truck would go to idle, when at stops not even rev up etc and in general runs pretty sporadic. Problem is due to him having the adjustable pedals they want to charge him $8-900 for the part and $150 to diagnose for sure.
His question was, did I know of anyone else with this type problem? Does anyone know if its like the rest of the system, maybe some cold solder joints on a card or is there something else?
Does anyone have a parts truck that wants to maybe sell the throttle assembly?

I have a Question for you My truck the other day had no petal no acceleration , a lot of surging and bucking the truck Idioled down the road for 3/4 of a mile and then petal acceleration come back it only did this once, just wondering why it would do this or is the part showing signs of going out.thanks

bad ford dont know, you ae having the same problems my BIL has it seems. Couple of posts down there is another but is not called throttle problems and some have given some ideas to consider. Still havent heard from anyone who might have some knowledge of this problem!
