Now that the truck is up and running, I'm looking for some programmers. I would like a flash programmer (not a chip due to my father's soon-to-be truck as well). Of course, this is in addition to a K&N Filter and a larger exhaust! I've heard that the DP tuners are magnificent but the f5 is a chip and I need one that can work on multiple trucks! Thanks!
i had a superchip it was a programmer and i was ok not much gain.
i have BTS tunes and love them, i would call all of them and talk to them and see which one will meet your needs. and if you set it up right you can pull the chip in 5 less time then the SC

I have a TS style chip and burner from Power Hungry. Pretty sweet. I just log into their server and pick different tunes for FREE when I want to try something else. Problem is, I like their 80 tow tune for all my uses so I filled position 6 with Anti-Theft and 1-5 are all 80 tow.
PHP Phoenix chips are $295 now also (Burner is seperate). Pretty hard to beat that.....

No such animal exists. A flash programmer is VIN locked to one truck. You cannot program multiple trucks with a single programmer.
I have DP-Tuner tunes on two of my trucks, and my son has them on his F350. I am very happy with Jody's tunes, but keep in mind, I have zero experience with anybody else.
But I have no desire to run anyone else's tunes either because I'm a happy camper with Jody.
I was under the impression that the tuners were transferable! In this case, I am just going to get a DP or TS with maybe the Economy and Aggressive tune (the two polar opposites)!

they are transferable. you just can't run the tune on two trucks at one time.
Will a well maintained 288k mile engine be able to handle this? Also, the transmission was replaced about 40k miles ago. Would I have a slippage problem?
