Programmers are a waste of time an money and is harsh on your trans. Every programmer out will work on any 99-03 PSD and some will work on 94.5-03 PSD. There is no way to build a average tune for at least six different PCM codes that could be healthy for your truck

Do you prefer physical upgrades? That was another route I was thinking about. I'm half and half with computer programming/physical modifications. What would you suggest? Thanks for everyone's input by the way!
Yes the "programmers" are more likely to kill you PCM and trans before a custom tuned chip will
I never had a DP but I've had a PHP and I went with BTS and love em. Like said before call them and let them help you pick tunes that will suit you for what you do with the truck.
Oh so you meant the flash programmer vs a chip. Would you recommend the DP with the Aggressive tune and Economy?
no. i would skip the aggressive tune, and just go with the 60 tow and 80 economy tunes.

I understand the allure of black smoke but, the way I see it, as long as I know I am getting great power to the ground, I dont need the black smoke to show everyone! Have you seen that Banks diesel dragsters that blows absolutely no smoke? It's quite a sight!
