Axle Code decode
I am thinking of switching out the front axle on my 1973 High Boy. When I bought the truck two years ago it came with a spare front axle with discs instead of drums. The tag off the extra axle is:
4.09 D6TA-AAE
603783-1
Any help would be appreciated. I don't want to spend a bunch of bucks on the axle if it isn't going to work. The spring measurements seem to match.

Thanks. Just removed the cover and all looks good. This truck came with at least a ton (literally) of spares. Now all I have to do is see if I can find the calipers and other missing bits. Not to mention checking the ratio on the rear differential.
