I am using one tank on my 75' right now, the in cab.
The sending unit was deemed non functional, after I cleaned the ground, it still didn't work so then took the positive and grounded it, which it was now pegging the gauge to be full.
Ordered a new sending unit from LMC, installed it.
I fill the tank, gauge reads full. I drive around, it goes down to empty.
However every time I fill up, I'm only putting in a half tank.
Is this a wiring issue, or is the sending unit they sent me a dud?
They can be adjusted to some degree by bending the float arm.
In your case it sounds like the gauge is reading empty, or close to it, when it is actually still half full, you need to bend the arm down some.
