Questions about torque converters

I have a great friend that gave me a couple of torque converters that he had after he swapped out an engine and transmission in his 78 F-150. He said he believes they came out of a C4 trans. Mine is a C6. Will they interchange? I have a 302 with a C6 that needs a torque converter. What is the difference if any? I am operating on a tight budget like most of us, and am trying to save money.

The input shafts are different, they will not work. Ford used many different combos, you will need one for a small block/C6 combo.

Questions about torque converters

Darn, well you can guess what I really want to say, but I will keep it clean. Well I guess I will try to find a C6 converter. Anyone have one to trade? Just throwing that out there. I can get one from Advance for about 70 bucks, may go that route. Just trying to get this on the road on a tight budget.
