Stuck with a no start at work

Hey guys, I just went out to move my truck at work and the starter is not engaging. You can hear the starter working but it does not start the truck. Like its not engaging the flywheel. how hard is it to change out the starter in these or would this be a solenoid issue? Please help as Im stranded now at work, gotta go camping in two days too. Thanks guys

To start with I would crawl under the truck (if you haven't already) and take a look at the starter and the cables. Some people have mentioned they had loose bolts and the starter had fell out or started to fall out. Check the main power to the starter wire as well as the grounds from the batteries before heading right into the starter.

+1 on the loose starter. I've seen a few threads on the subject lately, also broken off bolts. I think there are three bolts? Not too hard to work on. Top bolt is easier wir a socket and extension about same legnth as starter. Be sure to disconnect BOTH batteries if your going to wiggle it around much. Don't want to do any welding by accident.
