A cop is trained to look for things like that at a glance...

Body shops are not supposed to just give those rivets out either without good reason.

IF you can get under lip and cut the lower rivits off as long as the heads are good. JB weld does hold the tag down really good.......


Or as in our older trucks, just properly apply some dirt,paper ect to cover the rivits up. Most times cops will not dig that crap out as long as they can read the numbers.

The best advice is to get the correct windshield in the first place.

That would make moving the vin, except for complete dash/cab swaps moot.
