Never heard of those. I assume they are for programming a replacement ignition key? I just bought a 2002 and the previous owner only had 1 key and 1 FOB for me, so this is of interest to me.
@ Miracle... you can get a copy of the key made at most hardware stores (they can program the new key), I think even some Wal-Mart locations do these now. As for the FOB you should be able to buy that as well and there are instructions in the owners manual for your truck in how to program it.
Unless things have changed I too was under the impression that programming was only through dealer Rotunda scan tool.
The exception is if you have two working keys, then the vehicle ECM will actually program as many as you have pre-cut. There is a proceedure in the OEM repair manual.
