I realized years ago that the little green squares have absolutely no value in the persons ability to answer a question. Youve got guys running around here with maxed out rep bars who couldnt find a 1/2" wrench in a snap-on catalog all because they hang out in the lets all hug and rep each other sections.

Uhhh... The mods have put a stop to the needless reppings about a month ago. Just thought I woud share the bit of information with ya a/o .
Sorry I have posted before this, I'm just lazy I guess. Got my leaf springs and shocks on the front about three weeks ago I guess. Thanks to all for the help. I have pictures of the broken leaf at home that I can post later. it looks like the broken leaf was just barely hanging on for quite a while, judging from the rust on the broken surface.
i personally wouldnt worry about the shock being spaced out, alot of people do it on the old fords with fenderwell headers because they will be against the mount...
I don't think it has a body lift, other than what they do to factory "hiboys", but someone would have to tell me what to look for to know for sure. There's lift blocks at the rear axle but I figured that's how they came from the factory.
There's a bit more detail about the butchered PS conversion in this thread here. That is for sure a booger weld on the steering shaft. The steering box is mounted on the outside of the frame rail and they rolled up the inner fender to get the steering shaft through. There's no rag joint -- there's a u-joint up near the firewall and another at the end where it connects to the steering box.
