My CD 6 has been giving me the CD Error. One of the discs is stuck right where it goes in the slot. In the past I would just thump the dahs and it would work. If I can't get it to work, how do I remove the discs?
This is a common problem, I finally just got rid of mine. First try pulling the fuse for the radio for a second, then put it back in. Mine then would sometime eject the cd. If that doesn't work you will just have to pull the radio and take it apart to get cd. After that start looking at replacing the radio.
If it's stuck right where it goes in I have seen people use tweezers to pull it out but it will ruin the CD. That will usually happen due to a slick surface on the CD. If it's stuck inside it will need to be cracked open.

Hey, I see you're from Billings, me too. There's not many of us on here. Sorry though I can't help with your problem, I just wanted to say hi.
my single cd on my 2004 did that, i tried pulling the fuse etc and nothing would work. I pulled it out and pulled the radio apart only to find the radio had scratched the cd all up, i then fixed the radio with a BFH and bought a Sony head unit
I have had a few Ford radios do that. I was able to use a butter knife through the slot to help the disc out. It didn't ruin the disc, either. It seemed each time that the disc need to move up about the thickness of the knife and them it came out normally.
Same here... I don't remember if I had to put the knife on top of the CD or below it, but raising (or lowering) just a bit let it eject. I found it happened with CDs I burned myself mostly in the beginning. Then it started doing it for all and I finally started plugging my iPod into the entertainment system and listening to my stuff that way... Until I sadly sold the Expedition.
