Rear window lower plastic molding?

My rear window lower plastic molding is faded and peeling really bad, does anybody have a fix for this without replacing it or keeping the X undercover? Thanks

Pull it off, sand, reclear...or paint it to match and reclear...or paint it black and reclear...
