Removing Door Window Deflectors...

I'm thinking about removing the side window deflectors from my 1994 F-150. But, I have one worry... The paint.

This truck was painted no more than two years ago. I have the receipt of when it was done, but I can't remember if it has been one or two years. Anyway, these were installed sometime AFTER it was painted. I'm worried about taking off the paint or scarring and/or blemishing it.

Any tips, tricks, or ideas on this? Anyone attempted this before? I want to remove them so I can easily and efficiently use my tilt-out vent windows. I want to get some of those stainless steel ventshades. They fit just over the regular window... Not the vents.

Thanks for any insight.

I would try wax & grease remover to loosin up the tape that holds them on.If worried about paint try in a small area down low on truck.Take your time the tape can be a pain to remove.

Use fishing line. Work it back and forth like a saw. If you take your time, you will be fine.
