rear window sticking/slow

I have a problem with my rear window on my '95 Bronco: when I try to lower it, it moves a couple of inches, then it slows down and eventually gets stuck, but if I grab it and help by pulling it down, it will come down all the way just fine. It is kinda slow going back up, but it can do that without any help from me

Does anyone what is the most likely cause of this? Tired motor? Lack of lubrication? Misaligned or bent parts? Something else?

TIA

On my '94, it turned out that there was so much caked dirt and dust in the fuzzy window slides that it was scraping and stopping the window. I noticed that if I pushed on the window to help it up, it was fine. So...

I cleaned it all out and added some silicone lube in the slides and now it goes up faster than it ever has.

I like the silicone lube on the weatherstriping. It helps and there is some controversy about it softening the paint so be careful putting it on.

Time to clean.

Take the access panel off.
Flip down locks and put window up. ***Make sure you support it on something***
Use a shop vac and suck anything laying in bottom of tail gate out.

Check the two guide rails see if they are bent or rusted or anything

Spray down the gears with degreaser.
wipe off everything.
Apply new grease to gears
apply grease or silicone to or at least Armoural to all weather stripping and rubbery parts.

Thanks for the replies. I was looking it over the weekend, and it appears to me that I would need to take out at least the glass, but maybe more to properly clean and relubricate everything

Since the weather is good and I'm doing some construction hauling bunch of stuff, I may just keep the window down for a while....

You have to drill out four rivets to remove the glass. You can put the tailgate down and then flip the latch on each side closed and raise the window you just need to make sure you put some saw horses or something the right hight under it to support it then you can do all the work. The replacement rivet can be hard to find if you do decide to take them out you can use nuts and bolts with nyl lockers but be very careful not to over tighten
