Help Wont Start

My 2000 limited was doing this a few years ago, it turned out to be the chip reader for the key. Took it to ford, they checked e erything, and finally found the chip reader for the key had an intermittent failure. Would do the same thing, drive fine for awhile, then go to restart, and wouldn't. Wait a few minutes or longer, then retry and would work...
