Update on coolant overflow and limp mode problems
Now that the Motorcraft thermostat is in and the rad cap is tested it runs cool as a cucumber. The water level is at the max fill line and is stays right there all the time, there is still pressure in the reserve tank the next morning when it is 25* out, the truck has more power, sounds better, and the heater works great. I used a 185* thermo and recommend biting the bullet and spending a few more dollars for the M C ones. (OEM). I had 2 bad new rad caps and 1 bad new thermo but I had faith in them which is why I had weeks of problems.
