I was thinking it was on the passenger side, but I couldn't remember. I remember it goes on a stud with a nut on it and mine the stud wanted to back out instead of the nut coming off...

Ummm, what's left!? Automatic transmission dipstick? I think it is bolted on the back of the engine as well on the back passenger side somewhere.

When you lift does the transmission lift as well? Got any separation between the transmission and the engine yet?

Also seems like the fly wheel is coming with the engine.... Is that normal?

It's the 5 speed. About 3-4 inches of seperation.

Can you see the end of the input shaft on the transmission yet? It may need to come forward a little farther before it will be free from the transmission since you have the 5 speed. It is a little easier on the auto since it doesn't have to come forward as far before it will come up and out.

Keep in mind that you can't go forward too far without getting into the engine cross member without going up high enough to clear the oil pan.

There is a ground strap on the back of the passenger side head too that has to be disconnected on one end or the other.

I'm glad you got it free! It seems like every time I pull an engine there is always something hiding down behind there someplace that I couldn't see and have to stop to unhook. Now the real work begins!
