Wiring a brake controller

I bought a used 2005 F250. Nice truck. Anyway I went to install my brake controller and the idiot who owned the truck before me, rather than unplugging the harness, cut the wires. Of course the wires don't match the adapter harness for the brake controller so I will either be doing it the old fashioned way and hard wiring it or need to get the OEM plug.

I called the local ford dealer and the parts counter guy is of course, an idiot. He didn't even know there was a plug. Does anyone know the part number?

There isn't much to wiring without a plug. If you have a meter it is straightforward to find what does what.

Thanks. I just hard wired it but was hoping to get the OEM plug so I can use the controller in other trucks as well but I do appreciate the reply.

My thought is, and I don't no this for sure, but since all you need is the plug and a couple inches of wire to splice it in, couldn't you just pick that up at a salvage yard?
