EBP Sensor

Hey guys - I need a little help (my wife would say I need ALOT of help, but thats another story)

I'm having some underboost, and reduced power issues with my '05 EX, and I believe that its narrowed down to dirty EGR, dirty/plugged EBP, and/or dirty turbo.

I'm replacing the EGR valve and EBP sensor, and hoping that will fix the issue so that I dont have to remove and rebuild the turbo.

I've be comparing my '07 F350 KR to my '05 EX and expecting that since they both have the same 6.0 PSD in roughly the same body style that they should be almost identical - BUT THEY ARENT!!!

I have found the EBP Sensor on the EX, and figured that as long as I was working on it, I would pull and clean the EBP sensor on the truck too, and I could also compare them and see what they look like - but I havent been able to locate it on the truck - its definitely not in the same location as the EX (front DS mounted to a bracket for the upper radiator hose.).

My question is, did they remove the EBP sensor on the '07's or did they relocate them to a different spot?

I'm losing my mind here (and I dont have alot to lose)!!!

you can check these sensors with a ScanGaugeII

IIRC 03-04 ebp sensor was at the Thermostat housing then 05+ got moved to closer to the FICM and by the Driver side valve cover

you can clear them tubes MAP and EBP clean them but you need a Gauge to see if they report Correct

Look behind the "air filter minder" sensor. Should be right there.

BLADE35 is correct. EBP sensors are located on a mounting bracket secured to the top of the thermostat housings on all 6.0L engines from '03 up to early '05 model years. Late '05 and up applications are located on the front FICM mounting bracket. They also use different threads and are consequently not interchangeable.

Thanks guys for all of the responses.

Found the EBP on my '05 EX up front (must be an early model) and the EBP for my '07 F350 was in the back below the FICM.

Replaced the EGR valve and cleaned out the EBP sensor and tube - runs like a new truck!!!!

Thanks again for all the help!!!
